University of Sydney Pay Increase Bulletin

*A reminder to all CPSU members that the next pay rise of 2.5% is due to be paid on the first full pay period after July 1st. For most this will mean July 15^th.

The pay increase is the third of six increases totalling 16.5% due under the University of Sydney Enterprise Agreement 2009 - 2012.

July 1^st is the perfect time for you to let non-members know that the pay increase they are soon to enjoy is thanks to work of the General Staff Union Bargaining Team and the support and involvement of members such as yourself.

General Staff Union mailing list.

July 1^st also marks one year since the Fair Work Act formally replaced the WorkChoices industrial regime which threatened the pay, conditions and job security of university staff. With the likelihood of a federal election being called shortly, the CPSU along with other unions want to ensure that a fair industrial relations systems remains at the fore front of the minds of union members and their family and friends.
