What CPSU Members Want

WHAT CPSU MEMBERS WANT FOR ALL GENERAL STAFF AT MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY

The CPSU, the union for General Staff at Macquarie University, has just commenced negotiations with the University for a new enterprise agreement.

This was preceded by a two month consultation process with our members in discussion groups. Over 70% of CPSU members attended and outlined their priorities around five themes – improved pay and superannuation, allowing us to balance work and life, protecting our terms and conditions, making sure we are listened to, and ensuring we are treated with respect.

What have members told us? The CPSU Log of Claims identifies the following key areas for general staff for the new Enterprise Agreement:

CPSU members want all General Staff to have:

	A salary increase that recognises and rewards the work of general staff
	Improved leave entitlements and access
	Sustainable general staff workloads
	A fair and transparent general staff classification process
	A new Performance Development and Review (PDR) process that is clear, fair and reflects the cooperative nature of working in a public education environment
