UNSW Paid Shutdown Leave

CPSU members at UNSW are campaigning for the inclusion of paid Shutdown Leave in the next General Staff Enterprise Agreement.

We are running a Christmas Card Petition for members & other general staff to show how much support there is for paid Shutdown Leave. The more Cards we can have signed, the stronger our claim!

CPSU delegates who are negotiating the new General Staff Agreement will table every single Petition Card signed by a General Staff member when we ask the University to agree to paid Shutdown Leave. Members are also asking colleagues to support this campaign by signing a Petition Card, however you may not know a member in your area.

If you want to support this campaign and the claim for paid Shutdown Leave & you don't know any CPSU members , you can download a copy of the Cards here. There is also a non-religious Holiday Card here for staff members who feel strongly about non-religious inclusion.

We also have an Electronic Card for people to sign. You can find the Electronic Card here.  Simply fill in the webpage with your name and we will print your card for you.

Academic members of the University can support the campaign, and sign a Petition Card too. Send your cards to Adrianne Harris, the CPSU Campaign Co-ordinator and we will pass your signed Card Petitions to the Union that represents Academics, the NTEU.

Technical Staff who are employed at ADFA, are members of, or eligible to join, the AMWU. Again, we will forward any signed cards by Technical Staff at ADFA to the AMWU delegates to support their claims. Please indicate on the card if you are a Technical General Staff employee at ADFA.
