UTS Members Bargaining Report 7

CPSU Members Meeting Notice

You may have heard about the ballot currently being conducted by the union that represents academics, the NTEU. One of the possible outcomes of this ballot is industrial action.

As a democratic union, your CPSU Bargaining Team relies on regular member input and decisions to provide direction in enterprise bargaining negotiations. On that basis, an urgent members meeting has been called for next Thursday 22/10/09 to discuss with you the progress being made at the bargaining table and seek instructions from members. We strongly urge all members to attend this meeting.

The meeting details are:

When: Thursday 22 October 2009

Time: 1 - 2 pm

Where: CB02.04.11

The next Enterprise Bargaining meeting with management is scheduled for 20 October. The meeting will continue discussion on the following CPSU drafted clauses that progress the claims made by CPSU members in the Log of Claims:

Sick Leave
Long Service Leave
Personal Leave
Parental Leave

In addition the CPSU will be tabling new clauses listed in the sidebar of this flyer.
